IPRC – Kigali is looking for competent
and qualified candidate for the post of Assistant Lecturer in Biomedical:

1. ASSISTANT LECTURER IN BIOMEDICAL (1 YEAR CONTRACT)

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Planning, preparing and delivering lessons

  • Preparing and setting tests, examination papers and exercises;

  • Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work; Integrating learning technology into teaching

  • Attending and contributing to training sessions

  • Providing course syllabus to students

  • Preparing and administering examinations, and other teaching aids needed to fulfill objectives of program.

  • Setting up classroom, lab, equipment, assignments, etc. in preparation for each new phase or class start.

  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, progress of students, and reporting the same in a timely manner Maintaining a clean, effective, and professional learning environment.

  • Attending all scheduled in-service activities, meetings, and completing all scheduled/ assigned activities. Enforcing institution rules and regulations

  • Assisting with library research, needs, information gathering and making textbooks recommendations.

  • Coordinate and report on academic activities of each subject taught.

  • Properly manage and use available equipments.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor degree in: Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Bio-medical Instrumentation or close related field.   Master’s will be an added value  Please provide the proof of experience

  • An experience in hospital on medical equipments will also be an added value.


2. MINING ENGINEERING ASSISTANT LECTURER (1 YEAR CONTRACT )  (2)

Duties and Responsibilities

 To prepare course outlines for the allocated modules and deliver the same to students prior to the commencements of lectures at the beginning of every semester. In English.


  • To prepare detailed notes for the allocated modules and deliver the same to students prior to the commencements of lectures.

  • To deliver lectures effectively to students in the allocated modules.

  • To prepare laboratory and workshops exercise sheets for the allocated module and deliver the same to students prior to the commencements of laboratories/ workshops.

  • To coach and supervise lab as well as workshops exercises

  • To prepare examinations, deliver them and grade the students accordingly

  • To advise and assist students in their work in order to enhance their understanding of the subject taught and performance as well

  • To undertake such administrative responsibilities within the department, as may be required of them from time to time

  • To supervise students projects and assess the accordingly


Qualifications


  • A degree, masters or equivalent in Mining engineering/ technology.

  • Skills, knowledge and Working experience:

  • Worked in the field of mining with modern mining equipment Worked in both open cast and underground mines

  • Familiar with mine surveying, mine safety and environmental issues in mining.

  • Knowledge and skills in shaft sinking, Mechanized mining activities, mine ventilation, legislation of mining and quarry works in Rwanda and environmental management

  • Mineral processing knowledge and skills.

  • Minerals and geology knowledge and skills

  • Mine management and mineral economics skills

  • Teaching experience and Membership of mining professional organization will be an added advantage.

  • Please provide the proof of experience


3. FORGING AND CASTING INSTRUCTOR (1 YEAR CONTRACT )  (1)

Duties and Responsibilities


  • To instruct students in the forging, Casting workshops and welding.

  • To plan and design workshop practices exercises.

  • To assist students in implementing thei projects

  • To participate in planning, development and running of curriculum.

  • To participate in the production unit by using forging, casting and welding equipment.

  • To participate in the IPRC’s projects being done in the workshops

  • To carry out consultancy services as the instruction’s guidelines.

  • Designs and constructs research equipment.

  • Trains on the job, junior instructors.


Other tasks which may be carried out across the specialist areas typically include:


  • interpreting and understanding design drawings and making recommendations;

  • making manufacturing time-critical decisions;

  • monitoring quality standards in manufacturing and finishing;

  • taking responsibility for health and safety issues of staff and components in manufacturing;

  • doing structural analysis using sophisticated computer software;

  • writing documents, manuals, metallurgical investigations, and reports in support of customer liaison; discussing different solutions to problems with other technical staff;

  • interpreting customers’ manufacturing design requirements and product application;

  • installing and commissioning processing equipment;

  • researching and developing test or repair technology and new products


Qualification and Qualification and competences required

Applicants should possess the following academic and professional qualifications:


  • To be a Rwandan or International

  • Hold an Advanced Diploma in Production Technology or Manufacturing Technology.

  • Holding a certificate on Teaching Methodology will be an advantage.

  • Holding an Advanced Professional Training Certificate of at least six months of training from a recognized institution in forging and casting.

  • Holding an Advanced Professional Training Certificate of at least six months of training from a recognized institution in the area of in the welding training will be an advantage.

  • At least 3 years experience working as an Instructor in a similar or related field of competence.

  • Two years experience working in industry as production technician or manufacturing technician in the forging and casting, will be an advantage.

  • Ability to work as team member, having good communication skills and ready to learn from others.


4. DIRECTOR OF FINANCE  (1)

Duties and Responsibilities


  •  Prepare budget and control its execution.

  • Supervise proper receipt and custody of funds.

  • Coordinate Payments for goods and services in time;

  • Ensure the existence of strong Internal Controls in fund allocation, budgetary commitments, authorizations of payments;

  • Establish and maintain an appropriate Cash Book and General Ledger to Record Revenue and Expenditure operations;

  • Supervise preparation of financial reports, monthly, quarterly, annually or any other time they are needed.

  • Prepare and follow the processing of monthly commitments submitted to the treasury

  • To prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements and reports to assess their accuracy, completeness and conformity to reporting and procedural.

  • To advise the management on the generation of Internal revenues


Qualifications

Master’s degree in Finance /Accounting with two years of Experience or Bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields with four years of experience. The candidate should also possesses competence skills such as leadership skills, Communication skills, negotiation skills and Professional Qualification such as IFAC (ACCA, CPA will be an added advantage.

5. ASS.LECTURER IN MULTIMEDIA/CARTOONING AND ANIMATION (1)

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Knowledge in cinema 4D , 3D Maya and after effect, adobe Master collection

  • Knowledge in 3d character modeling and animation CGI lighting , rendering & look development

  • Motion capture

  • Facial modeling and animation


Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following academic and professional qualifications:


  • To be a Rwandan or International

  • Having a master Degree or Bachelor Degree with 2years’ experience in multimedia industries with at least two professional certificates in following discipline: Multimedia

  • Computer animations

  • Animation and visual effect

  • Cartooning and animation


6. ASSISTANT LECTURER IN AUDIO PRODUCTION (1)

Duties and Responsibilities


  • A must Knowledge in logic pro x and other production software like Cubase, reason, fruit loop studio ….. Sound creation and design

  • Studio music production

  • Recording, manipulation using equalization and electronics effect , mixing , mastering and reproduction and reinforcement of sound

  • Live Music

  • Musical instrument like piano, keyboard arrange, Guitar, Etc.


Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following academic and professional qualifications:

To be a Rwandan or International

Having a master Degree or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience in multimedia industries with at least two professional certificates in multimedia industries in following discipline: (note: a master degree will be an added advantage)


  • Sound engineering

  • Music production

  • Audio production

  • Recording art


7. LAB TECHNICIAN (AUDIO PRODUCER ) MULTIMEDIA STUDIOS

Duties and Responsibilities


  • A must Knowledge in logic pro x and other production software like Cubase, reason, fruit loop studio …..

  • Sound creation and design

  • Studio music production

  • Recording, manipulation using equalization and electronics effect , mixing , mastering and reproduction and reinforcement of sound

  • Live Music

  • Musical instrument like piano, keyboard arrange, Guitar, Etc.

  • Sound equipment maintenance.


Qualifications

Having at least diploma with professional certificate in audio field or Secondary school certificate (A2) with 3 years’ experience in audio and video studio with two professional certificates in following discipline:


  • Sound

  • Music production/producer

  • Audio production

  • Recording art


8. ASSISTANT LECTURER IN QUANTITY SURVEYING 

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Plan and develop the delivery of training modules.

  • Design or adopt the lesson plans.

  • Prepare the classrooms, equipment and materials deliver the training.

  • Participate in lesson assessment in order to review and improve the quality of teaching and learning.

  • To deliver lectures effectively to students in the allocated modules

  • Take part in the technical and pedagogical reinforcement initiatives.

  • Participate in activities and events organized by the school.

  • Coordinate and report on academic activities of each subject taught.

  • Respond effectively to other duties and assignments given by the school management.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics or Construction Management with at least 3 years of working experience in the field of Quantity Surveying. A master’s degree in the above fields is an added advantage.
