AB Bank Rwanda Limited has been operating in Rwanda since January 2014. It is a member of an international network of commercial banks providing banking services to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and private individuals in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Since the start of operations, AB Bank Rwanda has
been growing remarkably in number of clients and staff. To further facilitate the growth of our client base and branch network we are now seeking motivated professionals to join us. With this in mind, applicants will need to demonstrate willingness to:

We are now seeking staff for the Accountant position:

Job responsibilities


  • Booking of all  transactions as required in My MBS accounting module

  • Booking salaries and other staff allowance and reconcile all salary accounts

  • Booking of other transactions as required in My MBS accounting module

  • Prepare market mix report and other reports required in Finance department

  • Perform daily business integration and report all integration errors occurred in system.

  • Proper filling of all documents.

  • Preparation and putting  daily exchange rates in the system

  • Produce daily and weekly report to BNR (NOP, FX transaction declaration, weekly liquidity report, reserves requirements, monetary indicators etc).

  • Production of  Management accounts

  • Working with external auditors to perform their audit assignment

  • Preparation and filling of taxes


Improvement of accounting function


  • Ensure that all daily transactions are booked in their proper accounts within accounting module and information in management accounts are accuracy.

  • To make sure that all required reports are produced on timely without delay.




Academic Qualification:


  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related field.

  • Following accounting professional course (CPA, ACCA) should be added advantage


Experience and other requirements:


  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial institution and/or auditing firms in the areas of Finance and/or accounting;

  • Familiarity with BNR Regulations, and other applicable laws

  • Accounting  skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Good reporting skills

  • Have an excellent MS Office skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to organize work independently in an effective manner

  • Ability  to  maintain  a  high  level  of  accuracy  confidentiality  concerning  financial

  • Knowledge of computer applications and basic financial accounting

  • Good knowledge of English.
