Job Description
The Cooperative Project Coordinator will be part of a team pioneering and trialing exciting new ideas in our work with Cooperatives in Rwanda. The Coordinator will be based primarily in Western Rwanda (Rubengera). The Role necessitates regular traveling throughout the country.  The Coordinator will be tasked with managing Tubura’s exciting work with cooperative members and cooperative leadership, including the coordination and improvement of managerial and market access trainings. In particular, the Coordinator will be responsible for executing and coordinating our trials with Cooperatives over two regions and will be the link between different departments and teams. The role will likely evolve into spear-heading and coordinating our work with cooperatives on a full country scale.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Coordinate and collaborate with agro dealers, our market access team and cooperatives.
  • Help create managerial and market access trainings for cooperatives. During early stages, you will oversee delivering managerial trainings to cooperative members and coordinate the delivery of market access trainings with the market access team.
  • Mentor team members in professional and personal development as well as technical skills.
  • Coordinate and improve marketing activities of our Field Officers targeting cooperative members. Keeping track and following up on completed activities is part of your daily responsibilities.
  • Create a cooperative client database, which is crucial for the project’s success in the future.
  • Help with the creation and negotiation of agreements with cooperatives.
  • Collect and analyze data from the field (variation in number of members, order behavior etc.)
  • This role provides the opportunity to grow into the organization-wide cooperative strategic lead over time and lead a team of trainers that operate throughout the country.
  • Relevant work experiences. Examples include: demanding professional work experience in business, government, or a successful entrepreneurial experience.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in email, internet usage, Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Exceptional organization and information synthesizing skills, with a demonstrated high quality of work and a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service demeanor, both in-person and over email.
  • Proactive problem solver and ability to think critically.
  • Integrity, positive attitude, and friendly demeanor.
  • Can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and expand technical and project management skills.
  • Passionate about serving smallholder farmers.
  • Language: Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.
