UNGUKA BANK Ltd, BP 6417 KIGALI, and Code: 100500249 having its registered office in Kigali, Nyarugenge District, DORONA HOUSE; would like to recruit competent and qualified staff for the following positions:
Procurement Officer
Under the administrative supervision of the Administ
ration Services Manager, the Procurement officer is responsible for overall duties related to bank’s procurement:
General duties:
  1. Preparation and implementation of annual procurement plan based on approved budget;
  2. Preparation, Publishing of Tender Documents and evaluation of bids documents;
  3. Comply with Internal /External auditors’ requirements include implementation of Auditors recommendations, etc.
Specific duties:
  1. As Secretary ofInternal Tender Committee, preparation of reportfor Internal Tender committee meeting ;
  2. Preparation of tender documents, identify, negotiate and implement contract & framework agreements which result in efficiencies in line with financial and forecasting requirements;
  3. Maintain accurate auditable records of all procurement process which result in high process compliance ;
  4. Plan and engage with unit managers to understand contract specifications and with suppliers to develop a profile of delivery capability which results in effective market engagement;
  5. Build supplier, category and market understanding through performance management, research and stakeholder briefings which result in the management of commercial issues throughout the commissioning and procurement cycle;
  6. Review planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items, and manages approval process;
  7. Track order acknowledgement, prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports, and provides visibility of potential interruptions to internal customers;
  8. Tracks orders and confirm system lead times, delivery dates, and costs;
  9. Participate in the selection of suppliers based on bids evaluation criteria;
  10. Assist in the development of specifications /TOR for goods, equipment, materials, and services to be purchased,
  11. Responding toperiodical Internal/External auditors requirements, includeimplementation of auditors ‘ recommendations,
  12. Prepare and maintain monthly/annual procurement reports and Price List, etc.
Qualifications and other requirements
The candidates must:
  • Be  of Rwandan Nationality;
  • At least a bachelor’s degree of Business Management with emphasis in Procurement & Logistics option with experience of two years minimum;
  • At least a bachelor’s degree of Business Management options, with experience of at least5 years in procurement role;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity;
  • Be immediately available to start work.
