Position: 1             
Purpose of the Position
The overall purpose is to hire a Videographer to illustrate what Action Aid Rwanda’s work is and how its work has impacted and transformed the lives of the poor for the last 35 years through various support exte
nded to them. The shooting of this video documentary will last for a period of at least three weeks.
Major Responsibilities
  • Profile and capture voices and scenarios of AAR Right holders on how their lives were, before and after AAR’s intervention.
  • Develop the video’s overall concept
  • Visit ActionAid Rwanda Local Rights Programmes and interact with the local communities who’ve been impacted by AAR to get context.
  • Interview selected interviewees for the videos.
  • Develop the documentary script and storyboard to be used in the film.
  • Perform appropriate video filming and shoot interviews with the Projects’ major right holders (beneficiaries) and stakeholders.
  • Produce two video documentaries( 45 minutes video documentary & a 15 minutes video documentary)
  • Narrate the video in Kinyarwanda or English
  • Translate from Kinyarwanda/English and write subtitles of the story in Kinyarwanda/English
  • Create a link to the videos that can be shared on website & other social media sites
  • Provide DVDs for both videos and 200 photo album
  • 3 and above years of experience in shooting video documentaries
  • Excellent technical capacities (state of art filming equipment preferably High Definition) to ensure smooth and high quality production.
  • Experience in shooting professional video documentaries
  • Proof of experience by providing sample video documentaries of similar work done before
Duration of Assignment
The assignment will begin immediately after signing the contract and last for 3 weeks.
