Horizon Sopyrwa Ltd is a Pyrethrum producing, processing and exporting company. The company produces and exports the best quality of Pyrethrum Pale extract. The company is seeking to recruit a qualified and self motivate candidates to fill the following positions:
Research Officer
2.1. Job Requirements

  • Rwandese by Nationality
  • Hold a Bachelor’s /or Master's degree in Crop production.
  • Working experience 2-3 years in research field ofhorticulture production
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • The ability to think analytically.
  • Proven experience in research and statistical skills.
  • Additional experience in other areas is helpful- protected horticulture, pyrethrum crop production
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop research work plans according to project needs.
  • Identify potential grantees and build strong relationships with them.
  •  Perform day-to-day supervision of research staffs for assigned projects.
  • Act as primary contact for research team for any questions and concerns.
  • Attend meetings to share new ideas and discuss about issues.
  • Coordinate with management in budget preparation and expense control activities.
  • Review financial reports, perform invoice processing and approve expenditures.
  • Analyze and resolve research issues in a timely and accurate manner.
