Skol Brewery Ltd (SBL) entered the Rwandan market in 2010 with an ambition to win 20% of market share by 2020. It has been registered as a Private Company Limited by Share, a subsidiary of Belgium-based UNIBRA.

We specialize in the production and distribution of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beers and we are increasingly renowned for offering SKOL, VIRUNGA beer brands and PANACHE.
In order to respond to our growing market with the right human capital, we are currently looking for a vibrant team player in the Finance Department.
JOB TITLE:                             Fixed Assets and Fleet Officer
REPORTS TO:                        ACCOUNTING MANAGER   
The Fixed Assets and Fleet Officer effectively monitors total capital expenditure and keeps accurate records of the brewery’s fixed assets, he/she also monitors and manages the entire fleet of the Brewery, both in order to promote best usage and upkeep of all SBL Assets and Fleet.
A.    Fixed Asset
1.    Prepare and manage the Capital expenditure for the period
  • Prepare monthly movement data input into the X3 assets module;
  • Run the Periodic X3 reports for depreciation;
  • Ensure approved purchase amounts are within budget/request extra - budgetary provision if required and update approved budgets;
  • Produce monthly/quarterly and annually CAPEX report.
2.    Maintain the Fixed Asset register for the period
  • Ensure Fixed Asset acquisitions are updated in general ledger and X3;
  • Depreciate assets in a manner consistent with the company’s fixed assets depreciation policies;
  • Produce fixed asset schedules as required agrees same by categories to X3 balances.
  • Conduct physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile to fixed assets records, investigate and resolve exceptions that arise;
  • Compile lists of damaged and obsolete assets and present same for approval for write off and record all disposals and write-offs of fixed assets in the GL Monthly reconciliation of asset, disposal, depreciation and inter -location accounts- (Produce back up schedules for General ledger balances);
  • Produce the assets movement schedule, and ensures it agrees with X3 balances and Ledger.
B.    Fleet management
  • Ensure fleet availability meets all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends;
  • Maintain knowledge and utilize all fleet information and user surveys to forecast new requirements;
  • Arrange fleets and fleet operational staff to provide support and schedule Special Event Planning;
  • Perform vehicle registration, insurance formalities and documentation regarding induction of new vehicles in existing fleet;
  • Oversee routine and ad hoc maintenance, obtain tags for new vehicles and renew old ones to ensure schedule fleet management;
  • Monitor and ensure fleet operation in compliance with state rules and regulations;
  • Maintain and monitor data management system to organize fleets as per various schedules and requests;
  • Streamline and monitor fuel purchase system with assistance of Fuel Cards for all vehicles and drivers;
  • Produce monthly report on vehicle consumption per liter;
  • Produce monthly report on car tracking;
  • Participate in various workshops and educational programs and maintain knowledge on all industry relevant publications;
  • Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry;
  • Provide direction to department staff to regulate budget cycle requirements and control budgeting process;
  • Plan, process and execute vehicle purchase and vehicle replacement through efficient settlement;
  • Plan and prepare annual budget, expenditures and analyze all financial objectives;
  • Produce monthly report on departmental expenditures and analyses variances;
  • Facilitate and implement corrective actions and capacity building to manage entire fleet to achieve company objectives;
  • Any other duty assigned by his supervisor.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a similar field.
  • Proven experience of 2 years minimum in Accounting field,
  • Knowledge of one accounting software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Intermediate level of Excel, Word)
  • Proven experience of fleet management
The position is based in Kigali, Rwanda and is a full-time permanent job.
