VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Akagera Management Company (AMC) a partnership between the Rwanda development board and Africa parks vortnaolug nature conservation organization, as responsible for the toad management of Akage
ra National park in terms of a 20 years joint management agreement. AMC seeks a hardworking candidate with a good ethic, highly organized, self-motivated and enthusiastic to fill the following positions.

1. Financial and Administration Officer

Duty and responsibilities


  • To work with an assistant financial controller in recording controlling and administration of finance data

  • To implement and maintain office policies and procedures

  • To maintain monitor and order all office and stationary suppliers

  • To insurer smooth and running of office



Criteria


  • Speak fluent English, French and Kinyarwanda

  • Be Rwandan nationals

  • Have completed education to a minimum  level of degree (AO) in accounting or finance

  • Have a minimum of one year’s experience

  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft excel and words

  • A quick learner and enthusiastic, and have good staff management skills

  • Be highly organized, self-motivated and eager to learn

  • Be dependable, respectful and flexible

  • Demonstrate good work ethic, hardworking and honest


2. Human Resource officer

Duty and responsibilities


  • Oversee and manage the functional aspects of office administration – staff records, leave management and filing systems

  • Maintain and manage payroll and employee benefits system

  • Maintain the attendance list of staff

  • Prepare the contacts of staff


Criteria


  • Speak fluent English, French and Kinyarwanda

  • Be Rwandan nationals

  • Have completed education to a minimum  level of degree (AO) in Human Resource management (HRM) or related field

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience

  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft excel and words

  • A quick learner and enthusiastic, and have good staff management skills

  • Be highly organized, self-motivated and eager to learn

  • Be dependable, respectful and flexible

  • Demonstrate good work ethic, hardworking and honest




3. Community liaison officer

Duty and responsibilities

A genuine interest in people, passionate about nature conservation, duties include environmental education in local schools and wildlife clubs, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of revenue sharing projects, keeping a record of Human wildlife conflicts encouraging engagement with the community and promoting the park organizing and participating in village and JIFAD meeting at different level of government, and mobilization of community action


Criteria


  • Rwandan nationals

  • Fluent Kinyarwanda, English and French is an advantage

  • Be prepared  to live and work in rural setting

  • Be prepared to work long and irregular hours due to the nature of the work environment

  • Maximum of undergraduate degree in development/business/conservation, tourism, communication or any other relevant discipline

  • Previous work experience in community development or enterprise management and or teaching science at primary or secondary school is required.

  • Motorbike license

  • Good report working skills

  • Demonstrated skills in facilitating community meetings
