ARV Nurse Jobs in Rwanda

LOCATION: Kirehe District (Mahama Refugee Camp)
GRADE: 4            

Level 3:  the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Budget Responsibilities:
Role Dimensions:
•             Ensure cordial reception of patients
•             Ensure good patient registration
•             Implement a nursing care plan specifically to every patient
•             Properly complete and regularly records, drugs, and mark all important data for proper monitoring of the patient (Height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, ...) and other items requested by the physician
•             Distribute drugs(ARTs) as prescribed by the physician on duty shift
•             Encourage patients to adherence. firmly to an HIV regimen—taking HIV medicines every day and exactly as prescribed.
•             Educate patients about side effect of medication
•             Lifelong ART initiation
•             carry out home visiting along with social worker
•             Assist departments to develop their individual service operational quality improvement plans
•             Participate in gathering patient satisfaction survey data from admitted patients
•             Management of equipment and materials within ART department
•             Occasionally, participates in departments meeting and assessment of services, to implement recommendations from data analysis for quality improvement.
•             Condom distribution refer for HIV positive cases
•             Reporting timely any challenge related to the further management of the patients to in charge of ART department and physician in charge.
•             Any task requested by line manager

A qualified Registered Nurse registered
•             At least two (2) years working experience working with international NGO.
•             Excellent liaison abilities and good communication skills (French, Kiswahili and English preferred).
•             Willingness to work in resource poor environment and be culturally sensitive.
