Revision of GVTC Communication Strategy Jobs in Rwanda



Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration is a Mechanism for strategic, transboundary, collaborative management of the Greater Virunga Landscape. Set up by ICCN, RDB and UWA with their partners in the region, it started with ranger collaboration to protect mountain gorillas in Mgahinga, Bwindi, Virunga and Volcanoes NPs in 1991. Later it has expanded in scope (tourism, community conservation and research and monitoring). The area also now extends to central and north Virunga (DRC), Queen Elizab
eth, Rwenzori Mountains and Semuliki NPs (Uganda). The Executive Secretariat sits from 2008 in Kigali to coordinate and link stakeholders on behalf of the Protected Area Authorities.

TENDER NOTICE FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES
The Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC) is a Transboundary Collaboration framework of Programs Plans and Activities to conserve a network of Protected Areas in Greater Virunga Landscape (GVL) shared between
countries of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda and Uganda. The Key stakeholders in this process are the Protected Area authorities, Conservation NGOs operating in the area, Research and academic Institutions.
Announcement : REVISION OF GVTC COMMUNICATION STRATEGY.
The roles and responsibilities as stipulated within its mandate require GVTC to have an efficient communication strategy that is compliant with its current stakeholder demands. It is in that regard that GVTC calls for consultancy services aiming at consolidating its communication strategy, by considering as basic document the 2011 GVTC Communication strategy, as well as the draft of revised communication strategy elaborated by GVTC and experts.
