The Akazi Kanoze 2 is a scale-up of the AKAZI KANOZE: Youth Livelihoods Project, funded by USAID and implemented by Education Development Center, Inc. AKAZI KANOZE provides youth, ages 14-35, with market-relevant life and work readiness training and support, hands-on training opportunities, and links into the employment and self-employment job market.

Estimated Budget for this Purchase
  • The RFP states: The total estimated amount for the contract in response to this RFP is ranging between US $50,000 to US $75,000, subject to availability of funds.

We are currently contracted by the MCF for an unrelated piece of research that will end in May 2017; does this preclude us from bidding?
  • No, you are eligible to bid.
Data sources - at various points in the RFP quantitative data is mentioned. (For ex pg 5 - cleaned data sets) Is it envisioned that the contractor will conduct quantitative data collection in the field with project recipients? Or is the study primarily qualitative in nature?
  • We expect the study/studies to be predominantly qualitative. Where qualitative research is concerned, transcribed notes should be submitted. No data sets will be expected if only qualitative research is used.
Will the contractor have access to project M&E data or other data sources in order to conduct analysis?
  • Yes, the contractor will have access to project M&E data stripped of personally identifiable information.
