Job Summary: 
The candidate will be responsible for the growth of savings volume at branch level by mobilizing accounts from field, from the new clients and existing clients by use of Branch facilities or by use of Digital Financial services. They will be in charge of coordinating at branch level all E-channels, including Agency banking and mobile banking. They will be responsible for the development of the relationship between clients and UFC.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Saving and clients’ relationship at Branch level
    • Generate & develop deposits and new deposit pipeline by providing product knowledge, customer services and managing customer relationships
    • Sell the Deposits/liability products to the existing and potential clients
    • Enhance and establish relationship with existing & prospective customers in the segment by visiting/talking to clients on a daily basis
    • Solicit new business from present and prospective customers; maintain ongoing business relationships with present customers in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
    • Involve in savings promotion activities according to specifics of areas planned.
    • Follow up and make sure that the accounts activated by his/her promotion are actively used by the customers.
    • Manage the High Network Individuals customer portfolio for the branch.
    • Ensure establishment and maintenance of the strong rapport with the clients
    • Be a custodian of Deposits Mobilization
    • Achieve all business targets within allocated time

  • E-banking coordination at Branch level
    • Foster uptake and usage of all electronic banking products by existing and potential clients of the branch catchment area
    • Ensure full and detailed testing of files and connections are complete before customer is registered with E-banking before being active (Finger print registration for Agency banking, and Mobile banking registration)
    • Provide in-depth trainings or awareness campaigns to existing and potential clients explaining the technical, functional and business capabilities of Mobile banking and agency banking. The trainings are to be delivered either remotely or onsite with the client.
    • Provide 1st level technical support and customer service with regard to electronic banking
    • Responsible for float management for all UFC agents at branch level
    • Provide 1st level support to the agents on Funds Transfer and Cash rebalancing related issues and all other issues regarding agency banking operations
    • Identify incidents or developing situations such as outages that could potentially lead to client complaints and alert management accordingly.
    • Liaise with the HQ Electronic banking officer in resolving issues emanating from the usage of all digital financial services
    • Reconciling on a daily basis the funds transfer transactions executed on electronic banking platform with the transactions posted on the Core Banking system at branch level.
    • Identify risks in Payments and Mobile/agency Banking operations and mitigate them by adjusting underlying processes
    • Ensure a complete and proper documentation and filing for all rebalancing transactions made by agents
    • Act as a direct supervisor to all agents to ensure an effective and efficient discharge their duties at all times and complete adherence to the UFC electronic banking procedures
Skills Required:
  • At least a first University degree in Finance and/or business related field
  • Good computer skills especially Excel
  • Driving License “A Category” desired
  • Have proficient knowledge on the use of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Have basic technical knowledge of electronic financial products such as ATM, POS, Cards, Mobile Banking Apps, Web Solution, Agency banking
  • Must have basic back end understanding of electronic product operations

  • Good interpersonal skill
  • Strong communication ability in Kinyarwanda and working knowledge in English and French
