rs ARCT — Ruhuka is a National Nonprofit making Organization , formed in April 30th 1998 and officially registered under the Ministerial Decree No,97/11 on 28 July, 2004 and registered by Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), The organization was started to support survivors of psychological trauma, through integrated and holistic services for prevention, care, and healing to facilitate recovery for sustainable unity and reconciliation, peace and development.

Since its inception, ARCT-RUHUKA operates country wide and has been intervening in the field of psychosocial trauma that contributes directly to building peace at individual, family and community levels through different projects, under four major programs: Training, Counseling and Clinical Supervision, Information Education and Communication and Institutional Capacity building.
ARCT-Ruhuka wish to recruit for 1 qualified candidate under the following position:
Trainer / Clinical Supervisor (1 Position)
ARCT-RUHUKA seek to recruit 1 qualified Trainer / Clinical Supervisor for one of its projects called "Indashyikirwa Project " that is being implemented in partnership with TROCAIRE RWANDA, which will be operating in the 2 districts of Northern Province working with community.
Purpose of the position: To support/contribute to the overall functioning of ARCT-Ruhuka to fulfill its mission, and to achieve "Indashyikirwa PROJECT" goals in particular.
Key Duties:
Under the direct supervision of Indashyikirwa Project Officer, the trainer/clinical supervisor will be responsible for the following activities:
  • Work as part of ARCT —Ruhuka Technical Team (TT)
  • To develop detailed work plan
  • In collaborate with the Project officer, participate and contribute to developing of a tailored and integrated training manual for CPWs.
  • To regularly monitor and evaluate project progress and ensure appropriate data collection and reporting
  • Prepare and conduct training of CPWs and clinical supervision of CPWs as well as ensuring high quality and professional services
  • Ensure that quality training and counseling services are provided to the project target groups ( Community)
  • To work closely with Indashyikirwa Project partners and ensure the well going of project activities at community level
  • Carry out clinical supervision and counseling services as required
  • Putting in place strategies to Monitor clients progress records and collect reports from CPWs and create networks of relevant interveners/ stakeholders for referral purposes
  • Maintain a data base system of CPWs and clients, with success stories /theories of change
  • Preparation of professional plans and reports, including formal weekly , monthly and quarterly and annual
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills/Qualities Required:
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and partnerships with a various groups of stakeholders
  • Ability to prepare /organize and provide trainings on psychosocial and counseling skills.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer based skills, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and e-mail
  • Developed level of initiative and able to work semi-independently and solve problem
  • At least Bachelor degree (AO) in Counseling , Clinical psychology with at least 2 years and above practical field experience
  • Trained as trainer of Trainers and/ or Clinical supervision , with proven practical field experience in psychosocial field
  • Previous experience in psychosocial is preferred
  • Willingness to work and/or live in a rural setting
  • Proficiency in the English language (spoken and written); Kinyarwanda is obligatory and French would be an added value.
