IPAR Rwanda is seeking to recruit experienced and highly motivated IT & Knowledge Management Officer
Job Description
The IT and Knowledge Management Officer will support knowledge sharing processes s and administrate the technical back- end of IPAR’s knowledge management software. The candidate will play a vital role in ensuring knowledge and key information is easily accessible and widely distributed across the organization, helping IPAR operate more intelligently and efficiently.
Specific responsibilities:

1. End user support
End user support  ( IT troubleshooting)
Advice in the use of computer hardware, software, and networks
Ms Office & other applications programs solutions
Operating Systems (Windows) Solutions
Data Backup (Backup data from computers of staff & Researchers to the server)

2. Network & Internet Administration
Ensure the connection and security of network devices to LAN
Server Management
Connection to the Internet

3. Website Administration
Website Update & management site content and design
Maintenance of IT Infrastructure and Equipment
Website security

4.Webmail management
Create new  E-mail accounts  for new staff and Disable emails account for staff who left
General webmail maintenance
Provide Assistance to any other staff when required
5. Newsletter  Design & Dissemination
Design the newsletter
Send the Newsletter to all stakeholders

6. Hardware and Software Maintenance
Install Operating Systems  & other Application software
Maintenance of IT & Electronic equipments 
Supervision of general maintenance for all IT & Electronic equipments

7. Documents & Publications Design
Ensure the good design, layout and proper printing of publications

8. Knowledge  Management
Monitors and coordinates Resource Centre  Activities
Facilitating access to online resources
We are seeking an exceptional individual with more than 3 years of work experience in knowledge management or information technology. Candidates who fit the following criteria are strongly encouraged to apply:
  • Very strong technical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot, solve and, as needed, escalate technical issues on our internal, web-based knowledge management platform.
  • Exceptional organization and information synthesizing skills, with a demonstrated high quality of work and a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service demeanor, both in-person and over email.
  • Experience managing large-scale databases and tracking website analytics and key performance indicators.
  • Basic or advanced knowledge of HTML.
  • Proactive problem solver and ability to think critically.
  • Integrity, positive attitude, and friendly demeanor.
  • Can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and expand technical and project management skills.
  • Language: Strong English-language writing skills required and knowledge of any other language will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant work experience in a knowledge management and information technology role.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics; experience in Google Drive.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Top-performing undergraduate degree in information management or other relevant fields from a recognized university.
  •  Proven ability to set and meet targets on the job.
The position is available for immediate start and the duration of the initial contract shall be 12 months, with possibility of renewal upon satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
A competitive salary is available for this role, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
